From Basement Start-Up to Multi-Million Dollar Company, Woman-Owned Transportation Business Is Operated by All-Female Team
ST. LOUIS, MO, JANUARY, 2024: With core values like integrity and honesty at the forefront of the business, R & S Delivered, LCC has grown from a small start up to a multi-million dollar transportation company, recognized for building lasting relationships with shippers and customers.
Owner and CEO Stacey Schultz leads an all-female management team that focuses on customer service, strategic partnerships, and exceptional communication.

Schultz and her husband, the late Russ Schultz, started R & S Delivered, LLC in the basement of their home in January 2014.
From those first five loads in week one, the duo made it their mission to provide superior customer service and exceed expectations. By the end of April 2014, they had hired their first employee, outgrown the basement, and decided to move the business to a location better suited for growth.
They signed a lease and moved to 4540 Gravois Avenue in St. Louis in May 2014. They grew to six employees in that space and then moved to Maplewood, Mo., by October 2015. They did so well in that location that they grew to 16 employees within three years. R & S Delivered corporate headquarters is now based at 2640 Roseland Terrace, St. Louis, Mo.
R & S Delivered grew from $1 million in gross revenue in 2017 to $16.7 million by 2022. Over the last decade, the company has facilitated the hauling of 70,000 loads across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
“R & S Delivered is grateful to our customers for their trust and support, and we appreciate our suppliers who did not let us down,” said Chief Operating Officer Tara Armstrong, a 26-year veteran of the industry.
The company lost its co-founder, Russ, in July 2021 after an extremely brief cancer journey.

It’s no small feat to reach the 10-year milestone. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 20% of small businesses fail within their first year. The failure rate increases to 30% by the end of the second year, 50% by the fifth year, and 70% by the 10th year.
“Russ and I used to joke that it was a blessing we didn’t know what we didn’t know when we started; otherwise, we may not have crossed that line from employee to employer,” Schultz said. “And I’m certainly glad we did.”
